There are many things to dislike about getting older. From aching joints to a loss of vision, it just isn't something that most people look forward to. This allows each ear piece to be adjusted to two different volume ranges that can be adjusted separately for each ear with the remote control. As you may have guessed, the fully digital is the most expensive and is considered to be somewhat of a miniature computer. This is because it takes in sound and then turns it into a code. This code is then filtered to reduce noise and turned back into sound. This process eliminates much of the background noise and makes it easier for a person to hear. While the type of device that the specialist will recommend normally depends on the amount of loss you have, it is beneficial to mention to your doctor if you believe you will be discouraged from wearing a hearing instrument if you feel that it will be noticed. Your doctor can then discuss whether the smaller OTE hearing aid or the more basic Behind-The-Ear (BTE) devices are right for you.
