Research Doing your homework will not only increase your conversion rates, but also keep your clients happier. As a copywriting expert, it's your job to make sure that both of these things happen. After all, it's much easier to keep a client happy than find new ones. Make sure to do lots of Google searches related to your topic. Find out what else is selling. A good method for this is to check out Clickbank's marketplace. By seeing which products in the niche have the highest gravity, you can determine which sales letters are pulling the most weight. Take time to review these letters and figure out WHY they work so that you are able to duplicate, or even surpass, the success they are having. Facts Tell - Stories Sell The use of stories in your copy will hugely increase your conversions. This has been proven time and time again. If this is a topic you have experience in, use your own stories. When they come from the heart, it is felt by the reader. Make sure to get some nice stories to use as testimonials too. Your stories need to have emotion behind them. By ensuring that the reader feels what you feel, you draw them in and create rapport that can't be forged. When you have this down pat, you've taken the biggest step towards becoming a successful creative copywriter. Personalize your copy Make sure that you are talking directly to the reader. I can't stress this enough! This is crucial to ensuring sales. If you're not talking to the reader, how do you expect them to connect with your words? Address the reader directly. Use the word 'you' often. By the time you've started your letter you should have plenty of research to help you determine what the reader is like. This will help you go a long way towards knowing what's going on in their heads so you can address the problems directly. Include a call to action A call to action is going to persuade the reader into... well... taking action. Whether that is signing up for a newsletter, buying a product, or giving up their information in exchange for some service, you need to always tell the reader exactly what you expect them to do. Make sure that you're doing this in such a way that they will actually want to do it though. By the time you've gotten to your call to action, you should have given enough reasons for the reader to want to buy. If your call to action is strong enough, they will more often than not. Use terms like 'Sign up today' or 'Just fill out this easy to use form'. Just write If you're having trouble coming up with persuading words, just write. It doesn't need to be good copy, or even all that related to the current topic. Just write and write until it starts flowing. After a few paragraphs you will find that the block has dissolved into nothing and the words will start flowing freely. A good way to do this is to just start writing what's on your mind. Don't try to take it in any specific action. Just let it go for a few minutes until you feel you're in the zone. After that, jump back over to your copy and see where it takes you. You might even choose to simply write out another authors letter to get the flow started. Not only will this get rid of writer's block, but it will also subconsciously teach you the methods they used while writing their letters. This is how many copywriters began their career, so it's definitely a good route to follow! writing work online
