The success of the Civic paved the way for the introduction of the Accord, which was to become the first Japanese model to be assembled in US shores, and consequently become one of Honda’s bestsellers, competing with Toyota’s Camry. Affordable Speed: Datsun 240Z A list of the most prominently-featured Japanese used cars won’t be complete without the Datsun 240Z, known by its classier name Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan. Back when sports cars were admired from afar by enthusiasts (the Porsches and Ferraris were simply not budget-friendly), the Datsun 240Z provided a sleek and fast ride for a much affordable price. True Japanese Exotic: Acura NSX This sports model was designed to compete with the Ferrari 328, but enthusiasts agree that it’s actually way better than the Italian model, and it was much more affordable too.
