Currently, our Led panel light is constructed as a grid of individual LED diodes. When you try to cut the light with a barn door as you would with a single source light, you are effectively shading a portion of the diodes while leaving others completely unshaved. Since each diode is its own light source and wants to create its own shadow, when you begin to shade/cover only a portion of the Led panel light or other t8 led tube, the result is a striated (striped) shadow.
