As a result of its recognition as a tourist location, Paris now has an abundance of chain hotels. Even many of the older, classic Parisian hotels have already been sold to hotel conglomerates. Throughout the years, the Ritz was a common lodging venue for celebrities which include Ernest Hemingway, Truman Capote, Greta Garbo and Coco Chanel.
