Steven Power to drive BigCommerce sales Ecommerce platform, BigCommerce has appointed Steven Power to drive its worldwide sales in thenewly created position of chief revenue officer for globaloperations. The position was created as the company hit a stretch point at theleadership level and required experienced sales and marketingwithin its C-Suite, according to BigCommerce co-founder, EddiMachaalani. BigCommerce co-founder, Mitch Harper, labelled Power an exceptional find and said he will be a key player inguaranteeing the company s growth. Power is that rare breed of business leader whose vast experiencemeans he is as comfortable working at a dynamic, high growthstart-up, as he is working within a large corporate environmentdriving multi-million dollar revenues, Harper said. Meridian appoints Petersen to expand APAJ presence Plan-Build-Operate software provider and Trimble Australiacompany, Meridian Systems, has appointed Chris Petersen as APAJregional manager to increase its presence within the market. Petersen will be based in Sydney, and will be responsible foraccelerating the company s construction project managementsoftware business. This includes sales, market development, accountmanagement, and channel partnerships. His focus will be on supporting Meridian s Prolog constructionproject management software for architecture, engineering andconstruction (AEC) companies. He will also be in charge of theProliance capital program management software. Petersen has 16 years experience in IT sales and channel partnermanagement. He has held roles at IBM , Compuware , Opentext , and salesforce.com. Yakob appointed for channel partner support at Allied Telesis Rick Yakob has joined IP and Ethernet switching solutions provider, Allied Telesis , as enterprise development manager. Based in Sydney, Yakob will be responsible for channel partnersupport and business development for a range of video, voice anddata network solutions to clients in multiple markets. Theseinclude government, healthcare, defence, education, retail,hospitality, and network service providers. Yakob s strong industry knowledge and experience with seniorexecutive management will assist greatly as we continue to drivegrowth within Australia, Allied Telesis A/NZ country manager,Scott Penno, said. His technical knowledge, channel focus andbusiness acumen will be of great benefit. Prior to joining Allied Telesis, Yakob spent five years at HP , where he held a number of commercial account and businessdevelopment roles. He has also held roles at Fujitsu, Data#3, Synergy Plus, andIntegrated Wireless. Retriever appoints mobility specialist, Steve Shultz Mobile field force automation provider, Retriever Communications,is strengthening its global service delivery and support with theaddition of Steve Schultz as operations director. Schultz will be managing the implementation of major mobilitydeployments from Sydney.
