Copy writing is one of the most essential elements of any marketing, including online. The art of copy writing involves strategically writing words that promote your product or service to an individual and do it in way that the end result is some action taken by the prospect. Copy writing is never easy. However knowing it and understanding to is essential to your success. Copy breaks down into 4 basic elements and is not limited to just four. However, when you think it through, most copy breaks down to this. First is your headline. This has got do its job to get you the clicks you need. You have got to convey in small space what your copy is about and get them to click. Then we move forward to the introduction and here you have a short paragraph that will cover the essentials to the story they are about to read and to give enough in the story to keep those who have arrived enough information to keep their interest and keep them reading. Next you move onto the body of your copy, and here is where all is laid out in the form of benefits that will show your prospect how you, and how others have benefited from the use of the product or service. Remember I said benefits, and not features. People will only care about how they will benefit the most from it. Also you are going to want to take the testimonials that you have received, and add those to your copy body. It will go a long way in providing credibility. The final stage is the close. Its the asking of the prospect to make a decision. Whether it's to sign up for a newsletter or ezine, or whether its sign up to your lists and receive a free download for the trouble, or to ultimately purchase. Here you must clear and direct and ask the prospect to make the decision and believe it or not you do have to tell them exactly what you want them to do. I cannot explain the importance of this enough. It has been my own experience that writing effective sales copy can make the difference between ho-hum results and a banner day. I've seen subtle changes made to copy that increased response by as much as 800 times what the initial results were. Now if you break that down into whatever dollars you want, it can add up to huge differences in income! college-paper testimonials
