Do you know why so many sales letters fall flat on their face? It's not because the writer doesn't know his craft. There are plenty of great writers out there who have written sales letters that bomb out horribly. The reason has nothing to do with how well they write. It has to do with how well they knew their target market. Some writers either don't put in the time and effort to research the market or don't know how to do it properly. This article is going to share a few tips for researching your target market that should help greatly. Proper research begins with going to where your target market is. No, they're not going to come to you. You have to go to them. Most people who are searching for a solution to a specific problem will usually go to forums and discussion groups in order to get their questions answered. While you may not have any interest in having questions answered yourself, by going to these forums and discussion groups, you'll be able to see exactly what's on the minds of these people. You'll see exactly what they want by the questions they ask and the answers they get. Simply make a note of everything. Once you've done this, the next step is to work on pushing the hot buttons. This is done by looking at what it is that these people are after. For example, let's say that you are hired to write a sales letter for a natural acne cure and by going to forums you discover that these people are looking for something that is safe, because they don't want to take harmful drugs, and something that is also very effective and works quickly. These are the hot buttons that you're going to push in your sales letter. Finally, you want to test the effectiveness of your copy by seeing what kind of conversion you get on it. To do this, you'll want to make two versions of the sales letter. One version will focus on certain hot buttons and the other version will focus on other hot buttons. You'll split test them and see which one performs better. Whichever one does, that will be your new control copy. You'll then create another version and test that against the control. You'll continue to do this until you come up with a sales letter that converts the way you want it to. It's not rocket science. By following this procedure, you're almost guaranteed to come up with the best copy possible for your product. To YOUR Success buy dissertation
