Coming up with some form of personal exercise plan is a great way to get rolling losing weight. If you haven't exercised in a long time, or never, you may not have any idea how to get moving. It could even be a little frightening, commitment wise. Fortunately, it's not that confusing or hard to do - just start walking. Whatever workout routine you opt to go for, walking should be an integral part of it. First, when you're developing an exercise plan, be sure and include walking as a daily activity. This is not difficult if you have a dog - merely take it for at least one 10 minute plus walk every day. 10 minutes may not seem like like a lot of walking, but over a month, or even a week, it adds up quickly. Do you want to get a bit more work out? Take Fido for two walks every day. If you don't live too far away from your office walk there, or at least some of the way. For sure, no matter how far you are located from your workplace, you can work something out to get a little exercise on the way there. Of course, you'll need to walk back at the end of your work day, too, so that doubles your work out - a very good thing! If you ride to work, just walk to the next bus stop so that you do some more walking in the day. You'll discover it truly is no big deal to add more walking to your daily workout plan. Walk more quickly or, if you're feeling really confident, you could jog. And you can progress to even more strenuous workout programs, if you want. You won't be able to find a really good excuse to not walk a short distance each day. No matter how busy you may be, you can certainly find 10 minutes here and there for a short walk.
