Online Shopping is becoming ever more popular and this has been a big factor in the number of deliveries we now get each week outside of the normal postal service. This creates a problem for those individuals who work as the vast majority of such deliveries take place during normal working hours. This mean that there are a large number of parcels that fail to get delivered first time has also increased. BBC News covered a similar issue last year in their article The Parcel Conundrum by Andrew Bomford. They asked the question as to how people can covientently get parcels delivered when most are at work all day? They intiviewed a courier Tony Rudder who said that he appreciated the irritation of the customer. "I've been in myself waiting for a package, and it hasn't turned up. And then I've seen the little note on the floor saying they tried to deliver it. But I've been in all day," says Rudder. "It happens to everyone, even couriers." But the courier has a defence. "It's difficult for us too. You turn up at a house and no one's in. So you phone up the company and they try to get in touch with the customer and find out if it's OK to deliver it next door for instance. "Often they can't get hold of the customer and you're standing there for half an hour or more wasting time." A solution is the innovative Parcel Safe, which allows you to have your parcels delivered without the inconvenience of having to wait in or rearrange your normal working day. More often than not, deliveries to your home or office do not arrive when you want them to which can lead to a lot of wasted time and frustration as you wait for your parcels to arrive, or you get stuck in irritating queues at collecting offices. Parcel Safe has a simple open mechanism at the top which allows the courier to deposit a parcel up to a size of 450mm wide. Once the lid is closed the parcel then drops into the safe compartment underneath where your parcel will remain secure until you are ready to unlock the main door and retrieve your parcel. The parcel safe can be used for both domestic and commercial applications. The unit can also be equipped with a security code which the courier can use as proof of delivery. Parcel safe means parcels can now be delivered 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
