The Perfect Image and Derby Marketing Company, Middle Eight Marketing contributed to a recent episode of The Apprentice, which sees teams develop their own ready meals at Derby’s S&A Foods The Perfect Image was asked to document the filming of an episode of the Apprentice that saw teams develop their own ready meals, after which focus groups were asked to sample and comment on their resulting products. Ready meal recipe development and subsequent focus groups were all conducted at the Shaftesbury Road, Derby unit of S&A Foods. The leading Derby commercial photographer that specialises in corporate head shots, product photography including food photography and also Derby portrait photography was approached last November by The Apprentice production company, Freemantle Media, based on the company’s impressive portfolio of work and ability to work rapidly and professionally to a strict deadline. The Perfect Image head photographer, Chris Perfect commented: “Freemantle contacted us last November to photograph filming at S&A Foods. The brief required a great deal of photography and turnaround of images to a very short timescale. In order for us to do this, two teams of photographers were required and we brought in fellow Derby photographers, Artifex to enable us to deliver on time”. Another Derby company, Middle Eight Marketing, was approached to help put together teams of tasters for focus groups. The specialist in branding, marketing research, digital marketing and web design rapidly assembled team members to represent target groups for the ready meal products. Company Director, Clive Astin comments: “Middle Eight Marketing was contacted just one week before filming and we were able to enlist the help of a number of eager tasters. The day was great fun and giving our feedback on the, let’s say , often interesting recipes, was a really great experience”. The episode of The Apprentice airs on Wednesday 26 June at 9pm and sees candidates take very different ideas to the table.
