If you would need to stir fry tonight and you run out of ideas and creativity, perhaps it would help if we go back to basics. Some days are just hectic to run to that we spent those energy and is left burned up in the late afternoon, too tired to cook those long ceremonial recipes to prepare for a simple dinner at home. Pizzas might not be the answer so perhaps we can do a basic stir fry recipe to survive the dinner routine. Here are basic stir fry recipe sauces that can help you perk up that dinner in just a few minutes, making use of what you have in the refrigerator.
1. THE BASIC STIR FRY SAUCE (SOY SESAME STIR FRY SAUCE):
INGREDIENTS: ¼ cup chicken broth ¼ cup soy sauce 2 teaspoon rice wine vinegar 2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil 1 teaspoon hot red chili flakes or pepper flakes 1 teaspoon of sugar (white or brown will do) PROCEDURE: Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly until they are smooth. If you want your sauce to be thick, add a teaspoon of cornstarch to thicken the sauce. Be sure to dissolve the cornstarch before using the mixture.
This sauce is good for any type of protein including; the beef strips, the chicken breast cut into strips, the tenderloin pork also cut into strips, tofu can also do or even lamb strips. There is a little heat in this sauce and if you are serving kids for dinner, you may omit the red chili flakes or the red pepper flakes.
Your sauce is now ready for use. You can now enjoy your stir fry too. Have fun in your kitchen.
2. HOMEMADE STIR FRY SAUCE FOR CHICKEN AND STIR FRY DISH: This is a gingery and garlicy sauce that you can enjoy with your family.
INGREDIENTS: The sauce: 3 tablespoons of soy sauce 2 ½ tablespoons of brown sugar 1 tablespoon sesame oil 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 2 teaspoon ginger root, peeled and minced 3 garlic cloves, peeled and also minced A few drops of hot sauce (optional though) PROCEDURE: Mix the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until they are smooth. But if also like it thick, you can add a teaspoon of cornstarch to the mixture and continue stirring until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Some people like more heat, and if you do, just add few more of the hot sauce to the mixture. There, your stir fry sauce is now ready to be used.
This is great for chicken and vegetables and if you just cook your stir fry perfectly, the sauce will be your big hit for dinner tonight.
