Ping has always tried to keep the pricing of their “G” lines competitive and these fall right in line with other super game improvement irons. The Ping G15 irons are a great iron for the money. The Ping G15 touts a much thinner face augmented with a wider sole that make this iron "a really easy club to swing." This attribute alone is worth gold to the golfer struggling with irons or simply trying to improve his iron play. The irons are designed with the higher handicapper in mind. They feature a thick sole, extreme perimeter weighting, a thin face and a good amount of offset. The low center of gravity really helps get the ball in the air… and will often help with distance. You have to hit the ball high to hit it far. Great feel is not typically something you associate with a super game improvement iron but these actually don’t feel too bad. Every Ping K15 irons price will sound and feel great when struck properly but few are able to offer that same sound and feel across the majority of the face. My husband has been playing about 30 years longer than I have (he started when he was young) and he usually strikes the ball better than I do. He hits a high ball to begin with, and accuracy has always been one of the strong points of his game, so he doesn't need any help there.
