Cement sculptures are usually placed in outdoor settings, and provide aesthetics to an area. When a cement sculpture cracks or breaks, you're going to want to know exactly how to fix it. This will save you money compared to having to replace the sculpture. With a few supplies, and some patience, you can have a sculpture that is as good as new. Instructions as follows: Firstly, put on the rubber gloves, and spread the gel paint remover on, using a paint brush, to remove any excess paint on the statue. Let the gel sit for 30 minutes until the paint and the gel can be removed easily with the scraper. Secondly, remove debris from the sculptures that are imbedded in holes and cracks. Clean the statue thoroughly using household cleaner, a scrub brush and water. The statue should be completely dry before moving forward. Mix the epoxy mixture according to the directions on the package. The epoxy should activate once both ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Only mix a small amount of epoxy that can be used in a few minutes since you do not want it all to dry before finishing the repair. Thirdly, apply the mixture of epoxy on the pieces of broken sculpture. Place the pieces together, and hold them firmly together for 15 or so minutes to let the epoxy completely dry. Use the clean rag to wipe off any epoxy that is seeping from the sides. The epoxy dries quickly, so make sure to wipe the seepage quickly. Let the sculpture and epoxy holding it together dry overnight. Fourthly, mix the anchoring cement using one part water to three parts cement powder to repair cracks. Use only water without salt, since salt can negatively affect the cement. You should have a paste-like mixture that is easily pourable. Mix for 2 to 6 minutes. Fill the cracks and holes in the sculpture using this mix. The cement will dry quickly, between 10 to 15 minutes. Use your hands with gloves on to smooth into any crevices or cracks. Allow this cement to sit and become hard for an hour or so before moving forward. Fifthly, repaint the sculpture if there was paint to remove in the beginning or leave the sculpture unpainted, depending on your preference. Tips & Warnings Smooth the anchor cement on the sculpture by mixing another batch and spreading it over the holes and cracks on the sculpture, using a paint brush if needed. Use the epoxy in a well-ventilated area since its vapors can be dangerous. Finally, let me have a short conclusion.
