It is very pleasing to say that we are going to explore some exciting new specifications and features in the newly released QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013. In this QuickBooks Point of Sale hardware, some new improvements in Quick Picks and the newly added Mobile Sync Function can easily amaze everyone. Here, you will get a solid insight of both of these additions in this new POS. Quick Picks The real excitement in this flagship hardware looks along Quick Picks. Irrespective its old version, the new version is developed far more practical and useful. Here you will see touch-friendly user interface and buttons to access the product far easier. The items are categorized in logical groups of purchase and sales documents and can easily be accessed. 1. Color Code Groups: The Quick Pick Groups and new color code are now added and accessed by just hitting the right click on something that you like to customize. Now you can add, rename and remove groups from the drop-down menu. 2. Resize the Quick Pick and Pin to Sales Window: Another thing is “pin the selector” you can see in sales receipt window. In this window, you can easily pin the Quick Pick items and resize it. Unlike older version in which you had to get back to the bar and pick the groups and pull another Quick Picks item, you can easily be in the screen by hitting the Pin icon. 3. Easy Modification of Quick Picks: In previous version, you had to compromise with the list level’s items and add items to the group. But in this new version, a drop down menu will appear after right clicking on the window of Quick Pick and you can do those tasks. In addition, customization of item color is made easier. Mobile Sync With this functionality, you can build connection amidst QuickBooks POS and your mobile device. From your mobile device, you can edit the items and arrange them in your desired order and sync with QBPOS. In the “Misc and Shipping” section, there is a new field appeared in the item detail window and you have to check the box of “Sync to Mobile”. By doing this, it will sync each item to your mobile. Summary Intuit and QBPOS team were planning to add mobile functionality to this system over the last couple of years. And Intuit has finally delivered the same in QBPOS 2013.
