Marc Walker of Reno loves being in shape. He believes fitness is a key component to living a long, vibrant life. There are many different types of events Marc Walker of Reno takes part in to help maintain his healthy lifestyle. He has taken part in the Tough Mudder, which is a 10 mile course full of challenging obstacles. Marc Walker of Reno also participates in the North Shore Paddle Race Series every week. The paddleboarding courses are about three miles long. Although Marc Walker of Reno knows it is important to be fit and healthy, he also knows it is difficult to get started. Many tips out there are geared toward helping women get in shape, so Marc Walker of Reno decided to pass along some helpful hints on how men can get started on their journey to be in the best shape of their lives. - Keep muscles limber. Stretching is one of the most important parts of exercising. How long you stretch depends on your age. For those under 40, hold for 30 seconds. Over 40, you need to hold them for 60 seconds.
- Keep workout time limited. You don’t need to work out with weights for more than an hour. After that, your body will produce more of a stress hormone that can actually reverse the effects.
- Eat like a man. Men and women have different dietary needs. Men also have less body fat and more testosterone and lean muscle tissue. So you need to adjust your calories accordingly. Marc Walker of Reno says having healthy eating habits is just as important as what you’re doing in the gym.
- Switch it up. Don’t do the same routine over and over again. You need to change it up. Instead of walking leisurely on the treadmill, alternate jogging and sprinting instead.
With these tips, you can be on your way to a long, healthy life. Marc Walker of Reno says instilling these basic steps into your everyday routine will help you become the man you want to be. http://abcnews.go.com/Health/MensHealthDietFitnessIndex/fitness-tips-men/story?id=8527453#.Udw4SfmTia9 http://www.menshealth.com/mhlists/100-best-fitness-tips/index.php
