News Control4 Announces New Business Policies and Programs to SupportCustomers and Dealers Worldwide (8/2/2012) ISE 2012 Control4, a leading innovator in residential and light-commercialautomation systems, announces enhanced business policies andsupport, regional and online training, and marketing programs forits global dealer network. "We took a hard look at our programs, listened to ourdealers, and identified several immediate ways to provide moreefficient and precise support," stated Martin Plaehn,Control4"s CEO and President. "Providing proactiverecommendations and more immediate responsiveness to our dealerswill lead to durable customer satisfaction." New Warranty and RMA Programs Effective February 1, 2012, Control4 has enhanced its StandardTwo-Year Product Warranty. Should a Control4® product fail inits second year according to the warranty, an advanced factoryreconditioned replacement will be provided immediately uponrequest. Previously, the second-year warranty only provided repairwhich incurred inbound shipping time, repair-time, and returnshipping time. Dealers may select the outbound shipping method forthe replacement product – weekday overnight, two-day, orstandard delivery – to best match replacement installationtiming for both the end-customer and the dealer. These changes willexpedite the replacement process for affected customers and providemore efficiency for Control4 Dealers. Additionally, Control4 hasrevised its RMA policy to provide paid return freight for thewarranteed product being replaced. Stronger Networking and New Certified Drivers Designing a performing and reliable network is essential for stableautomation installations and superior consumer experiences.Control4 has developed a new list of recommended networkingequipment, featuring products (including international models) thathave been tested by Control4 as well as used by many dealers in thefield. Control4 will provide configuration files (where needed) andnetworking guidelines for these recommended products. Dealers usingrecommended networking equipment will receive Control4 technicalsupport on networking topics. Additionally, as part of the company"s focus to lead theindustry in device discovery and interoperability, Control4 hascertified nine (9) new HDMI Video Switch Products and Drivers fromAtlona and WyreStorm.
