The fourth largest city of India in the matter of population, Bangalore is the capital of the state of Karnataka. The one thing that Bangalore is widely famous for is the IT sector. The city of Bangalore is the hub of information technology. This has Bangalore among the top 10 preferred entrepreneurial locations in the whole world. It is a city that is developing with rapid speed, second fastest growing and also has its own share of fun. It presents a harmonious picture of a multitude of cultures living together. Due to the huge amount of IT export, Bangalore is also known as the 'Silicon Valley of India'. Being an IT city does not mean Bangalore is all about the brains. It is also known as the Garden City of India, due to the vast greenery and the variety of public parks. Among parks, the Lala Bagh and the Cubbon Park are the most famous ones. The variety extends into the cuisines as well. Eating outside is an integral part of the culture here. All kinds of cuisines are available here. The hotels in Bangalore are also homely, hospitable, and ideal for staying in holidays. The theatre scene is very vibrant here, especially the music and dance culture. Musical concerts and classical dance recitals are held continuously throughout the year. The other nicknames of Bangalore, pertaining to music are 'The Pub Capital of India', and the 'Rock/Metal Capital of India'. Bangalore, in the recent years has emerged to be one of the hot spots for music. Many international rock concerts have been held here. The biggest names include Metallica. Among Indian bands, Avial and Pentagram visit Bangalore frequently. The Kroaknights at Opus are pretty famous for showcasing new talent. Baiju Dharman Syndicate Live is also expected to perform in the month of August, 2013. Indian Carnatic music has an important place in the culture of Bangalore. Mad Orange Fireworks, Ustad Aashish Khan Live, and Parween Sultana - Live in Concert are among the most anticipated music concerts. Bangalore hotels provide a lot of facilities, depending on what kind of hotel you choose. Chauffer services are the most common ones, which involve picking up and dropping back to the airport.
