Clean energy or renewable energy is the only possible alternative to fossil fuels such as petrol and coals. The world knows this; however, the problem is nobody seems to have a clear idea as to how to do it. We talked to some experts on the matter, did our research, and finally came out with 3 practical ways any economy can pick up to shift to clean energy sources. Here are those 3 practical ways: 1. Policies governing energy sector need to be looked upon, and changed if needed It may take years to get permits from government, state, and local agencies. Moreover, the policies do not much encourage the energy companies to explore the renewable energy sector. This is high time policies governing energy sector need to be looked upon, and changed if needed. Unless we create an environment that supports the energy players and their ambitions for large scale clean energy projects, 100% shift to clean energy sources will remain only a dream. 2. Raise awareness of the potential of clean energy A typical economy is more about common men and less about industries. Unless we educate the common people about energy conservation and the harmful effects of fossil fuels, we can’t think about a world that gets its 100 energy supply from clean energy sources, like solar and wind energy. Not many of us know that a new solar project can power thousands of homes by making use of sun’s energy (rays of the sun)! Such is the potential of sun’s energy. So the best we can do for a green tomorrow is raise awareness about the huge potential of clean energy sources. 3. Financial help for setting up clean energy projects Like captive power plant, a new solar project, or a wind power project, also asks for heavy investments. This stops many private players enter the renewable energy sector. Government support can play a vital role in such conditions. Even industries can collaborate to set up these projects. This year has brought some good news for the sector: government is contemplating re-introduction of subsidy and other incentive packages for those in the renewable sector! This will definitely boost the confidence of the energy players, who incurred heavy losses in the previous years, in the absence of financial support from the government. Hope this re-introduction of financial support kicks some new large-scale clean energy projects in the country! Only a few companies, like Dalmia Power, have dared to enter the renewable energy sector. Be it setting up a new solar project, or a new captive power plant, the leading power companies in India have started exploring and exploiting the renewable sector for an energy-secured future.
