Darrick Addison has advice for those who are interested in keeping up with computer technology. He recommends that you never stop learning, that you stay active and up-to-date with conferences and associations and that you find some way to give back to the community. Darrick Addison believes that it is important to continue your education and to keep up with the newest trends in technology. This is why he is pursuing his Master’s degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from Northeastern University. He attended John's Hopkins University from 1998 to 1999. This was after he had completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science from South Carolina State University. Darrick Addison is also certified as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer. He believes in the power of education. Darrick Addison also believes that it is important to stay active and up-to-date in professional associations. You need to attend conferences and be involved in associations that will further technology. Darrick Addison was the President of the South Carolina State University's chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery in 1994. Since then he has been active in many professional associations. In 2000 he was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. This is one of the largest professional associations and is dedicated to advancing technological innovation for the benefit of humanity. The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers attempt to inspire a global community through their publications, conferences and professional and educational activities. Through his involvement with national associations Darrick Addison has been a speaker or presenter at many conferences and expositions in the technology industry. During the Embedded Systems Conference that was held in San Jose, California in 1999, Darrick Addison spoke on providing engineers and project managers who have practical skills to customers. The title of his speech was “Providing engineers, developers, and project managers with practical information from high-caliber instructors in the embedded industry.” Darrick Addison is an expert at providing quality project managers and engineers through his company ASC Technologies. Darrick Addison was also a speaker at the America's Integrated Information Technology Exposition, also called the FOSE Exposition that was held in Washington, D.C in 1997. Darrick Addison believes that it is important to give back to the community this is why he is involved with the Institute of electrical and electronics engineers whose main goal is to advance humanity through technology. Darrick Addison has also been the leader of study groups for several Microsoft certification programs in an attempt to help those who are trying to continue their education in software and technology.
