Most of us care so much about “face” and how important it is to appear successful to our neighbors, relatives, and the other people in or lives but we often neglect our dressing and grooming. We have Fashion Anarchy and it’s hurting our self-esteem and our confidence. In fact, psychologists say that when people don’t care about how they look, it is a form of depression. We must start to turn things around and that must begin on a personal level. Everyone knows when we look better, we feel better, sometimes almost immediately. So never dress in a way that is disrespectful of your expertise or your position. You must always still look like you are working. The standard is to dress a big step above to have that competitive edge. Looking fresh and modern is the only way to stay on your job longer. If you look old and out-of-touch, it’s your own fault! Staying modern and on-trend will help you project an aura of flexibility and agelessness that will make you seem more relatable. If you look frumpy, you are declaring to the world that your age is an issue. So be certain that your image is more current than your cell phone and your computer software! Always be impeccably groomed from head to toe. Groom yourself on a daily basis as if you were going to a job interview or on a first date.
