Email marketing is a great tool that can help you become very successful with any website. Be predictable in your emails. Send them on a specific schedule, and in particular, make sure you send something at least every two weeks. This will help keep your customers interested and they will remember who you are. If you can send emails once or twice a week, that is even better. Test out which days give your site the best responses, and then use these days as your normal days to send emails.

If you want your email messages to get to the right inboxes, target the people you are sending them to carefully. If you already have a core set of fans or followers, offer discounts or promotions to those who get friends to show up. Anyone curious in your products and services probable has known others with similar interests, which mean you, can organically grow your list through existing social relationships.

Make sure you include limited-time promotions and special offers in your newsletters; this will keep your customers interested and always on the lookout for future emails. This type of email marketing provides readers with value for participation, and it provides them with encouragement to refer their friends. You can promote this even further by creating a referral rewards plan, which will not only increase the number of subscribers to your newsletter, but also your pool of potential buyers.

You need to make sure that you are using a persistent strategy. Persistence is a good thing in general, but it is best when it is exercised on a receptive audience. Reaching out to an audience that is not appreciative of your efforts will be a waste of everyone's valuable time.

Make sure your emails and landing pages are suitable for mobile and tablet users as well as those using desktops. Smartphones have tiny screens that may not like with the way you have formatted your emails. Make the width of your messages 60 characters wide so your emails can be read by users without them having to re-size them.
