When Empaths Act as Agents of the Divine Consciousness

I have written about the dangers inherent in responding to a soul call. I stated that the work of an Empath should be done in a detached manner. I understand that is easier said than done. The overwhelming emotions that arise during a soul call can blind the Empath to his or her mission. What are these “feelings” that the Empath experiences? Does the Empath really have feelings for the person in pain?

My sense is that the Empath is necessarily compassionate in his or her role. It seems natural that the Empath would feel love for the rescued. But is it “love” that the Empath feels? These strong emotions may be nothing more than a condition that enables the Empath to do his or her job. After all, if a person did not feel compassion and genuine concern for those in pain, how could a rescue ever occur?

It’s easy for the Empath to be drawn into a romantic relationship with the sufferer. When this happens, it’s likely that the soul call will develop into a stormy relationship. I believe that nine times out of ten these emotionally charged relationships will end as quickly as they began, leaving the Empath and the rescued with hurt feelings. It’s heartbreaking.

Occasionally, celestial forces cause people to come together for unexplained reasons. These rare events are most certainly of a divine nature. The Empath is called upon to deliver a special message or fulfill a spiritual mission that involves the other person. It’s likely that neither the Empath, nor the rescued is aware of the true nature of the soul call. Even if the Empath realized what was unfolding between them, it is doubtful the source of the soul call could be identified.

For whatever the reason may be, (and I am not the person to explain it), I feel it has nothing to do with the people involved in the soul call relationship. It could be that a spirit or higher being is simply sending a message of love. There may be nothing more to it than that.

It’s also possible that a kind of divine love exists between the Empath and the rescued on a higher level. This divine love usually stems from past-life relationship. Divine love is very different from the human conception of love. We tend to confuse the two. I'm sure those who have experienced "Godly love" can relate to this.

I wrote about a situation in a previous article on past-lives, where spirits from the person’s former life came to visit her with a message of love. Being that we are human, our understanding of such things is extremely limited. In reality, there is nothing to understand. It is only that we should accept this message without attempting to examine it. To do so would only lead to confusion. I realize that divine love is not something that should be studied. It is something to be experienced and appreciated.
