Try your best to maintain a good physical appearance. Yes it is true that you are miserable and your situation is depressing but try your best to maintain a good appearance despite the break up. The last thing you need is pity from other people especially from your ex. Take this opportunity to improve your appearance. Try a new hairstyle, upgrade your wardrobe if they are already out of fashion but do not go overboard and do not spend more than your means and go to the gym or keep an active life if you need to lose those love handles. Most people feel good if they look good. You need to feel good and have a positive aura to make your ex want you more.

Although you do not want to make it so obvious, you should keep the communication lines open and one way to do it is to be civil with your ex. While you are not stalking her, there are ways to casually say hello and have a small talk with her.
