The various industrial applications that it has are great bonus in terms of cost cutting and the overall effectiveness along with the fact that it is easy to implement. It is commonly referred into in the businesses as Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP). The basic composition of fiberglass is very complex and renders it to be an extremely rigid material and makes it a lot less brittle and more useful than glass. Fiber-reinforced plastic is a composite material made of polymer reinforced with fibers. The fibers are usually glass, carbon, basalt or aramid, although other fibers such as paper or wood or asbestos have been sometimes used in the production of this material by the manufacturers of fiberglass reinforced plastics in UAE. The reason for the extraordinary strength that fiber reinforces plastics boast of can be attributed to the fact that, fiber reinforced plastics allows the alignment of the glass fibers of thermoplastics to suit specific design programs. Specifying the orientation of reinforcing fibers can increase the strength and resistance to deformation of the polymer. Glass reinforced polymers are strongest and most resistive to deforming forces depending on the context of use. The applications of fiber reinforced plastics vary based on context of usage. They vary from any design program that demands weight savings, precision engineering, finite tolerances, and the simplification of parts in both production and operation. A molded polymer artifact is cheaper, faster, and easier to produced than cast aluminum or steel artifact, and maintains similar and sometimes better tolerances and material strengths. The application of fiber reinforced plastics is numerous based on the following reasons. Fiber reinforced plastic is lightweight and has good thermal insulation properties. It has a high strength to weight ratio, making it useful for usage in products such as water tanks, surfboards, canoes, small boat hulls and similar products. The most unlikely application of fiber reinforced plastics is the new European fighter plane, called ‘Eurofighter’, and has an airframe which includes 12% glass reinforced plastic. As an eventuality of this application, fiber reinforced plastic frames are used in the design and fabricated of high speed sports automobiles for their body frame as well as they are extremely light weight and have high thermal insulation. The latest discoveries in the manufacturing technology of fiber reinforced plastics has yielded an improved structure and added to that, more prospective applications in the industrial level as well. As an eventuality of such advances, the customer base and demand for the products developed by fields of fiberglass reinforced plastics have shot up sharply. The future enterprises seems to be on a steep increase in the near future.
