Either way, people do this in the belief that it is for their love's benefit, that they don't want their loved one to get sick and just to be able to spend more time with them in the future. Now, ladies, before going on and on and on, stop and think! Think about love and what it really means. Without the cigarette smoking and the money wasted, remember that love is accepting and giving unconditionally. By definition, it is a truly selfless act by which your loved one's happiness becomes your happiness. Stop and think if a piece of dried plant wrapped in paper is enough reason to cause your love anxiety, stress and potential damage to you relationship. Instead of yapping purposelessly every time he reaches for a lighter, try talking calmly. Tell him your concerns and your fears. If you want the best for him, then make him realize the dangers that cigarettes has to his health. When he makes a decision, though, whatever it may be, respect it. You may not be happy with it, so propose some compromises. It will be difficult, but it is more difficult to fight a battle you know you cannot win. Instead of being the enemy in his life, try to be a supportive friend. Instead of hiding his box of smokes, buy him one from his favourite online cigarette store and get a lighter with that. Instead of stressing yourself thinking about how much more time you have together, think that at least, for the time you were together, your partner was happy.
