Basically this is a fully automatic leak detection system for propane and anhydrous ammonia transports. This system has been designed & tested by design Certified Engineers to meet the compliance requirements of U.S. Hm225A and Canadian B620 regulations. The low powered control unit continually monitors piping and hose assemblies during the off-loading process. Model # LDS 100: This is an automatic leak detection system that designed by professional engineers specifically for LPG and Anhydrous Ammonia bulk transfer. Trailer mounted unit continually monitors the off-loading process for “rate of change” parameters signifying broken or damaged hoses, fittings and piping. A leak is instantly detected and stopped by the closure of the tank internal valve(s). The truck’s engine can also be stopped and PTO disengaged if desired. This system automatically activates at the end of each load. This ensures that the system is fully operational and helps reduce the possibility of a damaged cargo pump due to product run out. This unit also “fails safe” and closes the internal valve with a loss of power or the release of the trailer parking brakes.
