Advice,Business,Consumer
Window cleaning is now a profession done by several individuals. Many window cleaning companies are now competing in providing good quality window cleaning services. According to statistics shown by the Bureau of Labor Statistics building cleaners like window cleaners are expected to grow from 2012 to 2020 at 11 percent which average is as fast as other growing jobs.

Do you consider working as a window cleaner? Or do you want to put up a window cleaning business? Before you do so, here are some tips on the things you need for window cleaning.

Squeegees This is the most basic tool in window cleaning. When used for cleaning, it is used to control and direct the flow of water even to remove water from glass surfaces. Squeegees comes in different sizes, there is a 20”, a 12”, an 8”, and a 4” which are used for different purposes. For example, a 20” squeegee can be used on glasses are big and plane.

Squeegees have different parts. And it is essential to be familiar about the uses of its parts as well as the techniques you need to do in case one part gets destroyed. Knowing how to assemble a squeegee is also helpful since it is mostly sold in the market separately.

Glass Scrapers and scraper blades There will always be a time when you will have to remove strongly deposited dirt on the window, glass scrapers are the most necessary tool in getting the job done well.

Glass scrapers are one of the useful tool however when it is handled wrongly or used in a wrong way, it can cause a scratch on the glass or even break it. The most important thing you have to remember when using a glass scraper is to wet the glass first before scrapping it in order to avoid scratches.

Window mop Window cleaning mops are also used for the same purpose as the squeegees. It is mostly used to wiping and wetting glass surfaces. However, some professional window cleaners prefer to use squeegees rather than window mops.

Window mops also come in two sizes, a long one and a short one. But in window cleaning, short window mops are mostly preferred.

Window cleaning pole Window cleaning poles are essential to reach windows that are to a certain extent. The use of this tool is simple; just attach a squeegee, T-bar or a window mop. This is very helpful especially when cleaning high buildings.

Having a good quality and appropriate cleaning pole is important. Go to different hardware stores and ask about the best cleaning pole they have.

Bucket Buckets are, of course, one of the most basic and essential tool in window cleaning. Although any bucket will do, when working professionally, it is a must to have the proper kind of bucket. The proper bucket used in window cleaning has a T-bar sieve where you place your T-bar or squeegee when not in use.

This tool is very handy since its purpose is not only to hold water but also to hold some other tools.

Ladder Having a ladder is very important. It is especially useful when cleaning two or more story buildings. Look for the proper ladder essential for window cleaning jobs.

A triple ladder is one of the appropriate ladders mostly used. It is because you can detach one section and it can reach high levels.
