The universe is lining up for that moment in time, where believers will be called up and pulled out of this world, while this world goes on…with a very different agenda. And don’t say the word rapture is not in the Bible because it is. For the record, the word “rapture” comes from the Latin word rapturo, which is a translation of the Greek verb “caught up” that’s found in 1 Thessalonians 4:17. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 King James Version (KJV) 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. You can call it the “pre-trib rapture,” the “pre-trib rapturo,” or the “pre-trib caught up” – it’s all the same thing. When The Son Of God Walked On The Earth Once upon a time and a very good time it was the Son of God walked on the earth with man. What might surprise you though is how man betrayed his own God! It was at this moment that the Son of Man reveled a secret to his closes friends. As Jesus dips his bread he announces that the person he hands it to will be the very person that betrays him. This will be HIS last night with HIS disciples and HE knows it! Tomorrow will be the climax. Jesus hands Judas the bread and tells him to go betray him and Judas does so. Jesus then turns to his disciples and makes a fascinating promise. Now keep in mind that just four days ago Jesus had ridden in on a Donkey and had been proclaimed the Messiah, on the exact date Daniel had predicted five centuries earlier. Jesus tells the disciples that in his father’s house there are many mansions. He says that he goes to prepare a place for us and if he goes to prepare a place for us, he will come again and receive us. So…we can be where he is. We will have our very own specially tailored environment within heaven, within our Father’s house. It’s hard not to notice the fact that God created this universe in 7 days. We only know the universe after the curse, but even after the curse it’s pretty amazing. Jesus has been gone to prepare a place for us for a really long time… a couple thousand years. I suspect this place is going to be rather magnificent! John 14 King James Version (KJV) 14Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. Well…tradition dictates that I must have an about me section. Personally, I hate writing these things. It’s not even a high traffic area of the page. But I guess it’s still necessary. The purpose of the page is primarily to add credibility to my writing by establishing my authority. However, I find myself having to write the content.
