Callaway Golf calls its X Hot set "aggressive irons". In the Callaway X Hot irons, Callaway takes the "Speed Frame Face Technology" it's been using in its drivers and utilized it in irons. That tech is designed to create a better transfer of energy from clubface to golf ball, thereby boosting ball speed and distance performance.
These irons use a Deep Undercut Cavity design to move the center of gravity lower (helping with launch) and move the "hottest" part of the clubface lower, as well. The X Hot irons also incorporate "Feel Management Technology" in the back of the clubhead, for crisper feel and sound.
You may have heard of the Speed Frame Face Technology. Callaway have incorporated the technology. They said that advance optimized stiffness across the face for more efficient energy transfer. It also produced more ball speed and more consistent distance, even on off-center contacts.
The medallion located on the back of the golf clubs price has also been modified. The dual material design features Callaway's Feel Management Technology, designed to fine tune the sound of the shot, promoting a crisper, dynamic feel at higher speeds. The X Hot Irons have been meticulously engineered – both in terms of physical characteristics and club configuration – to increase ball speed and promote overall distance optimisation.

Lastly, to help further enjoy the Callaway X Hot irons, the company paired them with the True Temper Speed Step 85 lightweight shaft.
