Another US based manufacturer of mechanical seals has set up its headquarters and with a service and manufacturing facility at Dubai. The company aims at using the manufacturing facility not only to manufacture mechanical seals but also conduct dynamic tests of gas seals along with inspection services. Seal is an object which helps join two mechanisms together preventing leakage. Primarily used in the plumbing with the help of a gasket or the seals are used with inducing pressure on to either of the mechanisms to make it join. Construction, oil, Medical, Automotive and many other industries make use of these seals. Among these industries the most work taking place in the UAE is under the construction and Oil industry. An American International firm has recently signed a ten year supplier agreement deal with a UAE based oil company. The American firm specialises in providing control products such as valves, pumps and seals. The company also plans to streamline the procurement from its company for all new equipment including the mechanical seals, pumps and valves used in the industry today. The Fourth largest manufacturer of mechanical seals in the world has joined hands with a UAE based engineering solution company and a Zurich based electronic and robotic company to build a facility to provide end to end engineering services to the fast growing industries of Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, construction, power and water and Marine. The facility is fully loaded with state-of-the-art technologies and advanced machinery needed to service a wide range of sophisticated engineering services. A spokesperson from one of the companies said that the motors and generators that are being used in the industry every single day, many businesses would come to a halt without these equipment. Thus servicing of these equipment is necessary to keep the wheels of the industry tuning and keeping the lights on. The company’s Chairman says that after having visited the branches and facilities in other countries, he claims that the Line up of human and tehnological capital has been amalgamated in the UAE under one roof. The business of mechanical seals plans to establish training centres, educational centres in order to educate and improve the competency of the people in the areas of their businesses
