Each one of the fields holds employees in order of hierarchy and the receptionists are the first person that a customer meets in order to get the problems or queries solved. These receptionists play a very important role in representing the company to the customers First impression is always the best impression is a saying that seldom goes wrong. With the first impression of any company being the reception desks and the people behind each one of them, the pressure is on them to perform their duties well in order to reflect the company in a very positive manner. Hospitals need to have the most efficient and the most productive staff at the reception desks as it might be life or death situations. The spontaneous reaction is required in order to save a person’s life. One such hospital in the United Arab Emirates has employed a customer service agency to hire efficient reception staff in order to help the people in the hospital getting treated for their ailment. The Hospital has also noted a 70% reduction in waiting time due to the efficiency in managing the patients and having them see the doctor. The waiting time is now reduced to 5 minutes at the maximum compared to the previous 15 minutes says a research study. The Initial reaction to the waiting time of fifteen minutes was an outrage by the patients and the staff and now with the introduction of a streamlined flow and an efficient management of the queue the patients and the staff at the hospital seem to be happy. Employment of more than 200 Takatof volunteers have been trained and selected to fulfil important tasks related to protocol as reception employees at hospitality services, airports and other information desks. The Chief of the company that employs the Takatof volunteers says that these volunteers would be playing a key role in welcoming and assisting the VIPs and other delegates from all around the world. The chief of the firm also says that these volunteers will be involved in making the Abu-Dhabi Future Energy Week a success and that he is proud to have taken them on board. On the other hand the people say that the service that they had received from the receptionist at Government offices were appalling. The customers claim that the receptionists are not at their desks at half the time and do not attend to the queries of the clienteles efficiently and swiftly. They feel that the reception employees require more training before they are put into work of handling the consumers for the different types of reception desks in UAE .
