It is believed that, at any sort of workplace, neither the employee nor employer intentionally tries to harm or create violent environment at the workplace. If adverse situations do happen to arise, it may be that the employees, managers and officers of an organisation are not familiar with the ways of work. It is therefore very essential to know the efficient and effective ways to ensure OHS safety in the organisation. Here we discuss four states of OHS safety management that would surely help to gain efficient and effective safety. So as to be successfully efficient, you should accomplish the things in a proper way. OHS means that you are managing the affairs of the business in the correct method that will maximize the safety of the organisation. You should visualize the safety by looking at the proofs in front of you. For instance, the staff members are working by preventing any sort of risks. Have a keen watch on the manner workers are undertaking the work as to are they wearing safety uniform and handling the equipment carefully? Safety is not a program but it depends upon the sense and attitude of the worker how he handles the tasks. It is a within the organisation structure how they deal with the situations. The next is doing the things efficiently ineffective i.e. accomplishing the right things in improper way. In terms of OHS management, it meant that we often tend to do the things in the safe way but not in the safest way. Tasks are somewhat accomplished in an inappropriate manner. For example, when the officers are called for organisational meetings they simply take them as a waste of time due to things discussed in a haphazard manner with lack of proper strategies. On the other side, some things are suggested worth implementing but executing them takes a long time that at the end can prove to be ineffective too. Third says, ineffectively efficient which means wrong things are done in a right way. In OHS safety, this is a situation when organisation is effectively following the safety procedures but the procedures itself are inaccurate or follow traditional safety approach. E.g. staff members watched a coordination DVD but they didn’t paid any attention or doesn’t retained any useful information. Another such example is that passing the audit. A repeatedly same audit is passed at every annual meeting. The worst of all is the ineffectively efficient. This says that wrong things are done in the wrong way too. According to OHS management the following things are done improperly: • No efforts are taken to follow the OHS safety rules. • Humiliating or firing the employee in case of violating the safety rules but not appreciating in case the work is accomplished in a diligent manner. • Successfully calling for safety meetings at appropriate time intervals but with weak strategies and policies. • Works at the aim that rules are meant to be broken or in case appropriate rules are set up they are never checked if they are properly executed or not.
