Arya Institute of Engineering and Technology is a venture of Arya Group of Colleges, which has recently been declared as the first E-Governance campus of Rajasthan. The recognition has been given to the college by Engineering Watch, which ensures government jobs to students. Being appointed as an eGov campus gives an opportunity to a college to get in sync with the various industries and government entities, which benefits everyone. The students get to work in prestigious companies and government projects, while the industry and government gets fresh industries talent right from the colleges. The development of the concept of progressive education in India is investigating the initiatives, such as development of eGov campuses. Appointment of AIET as an eGov campus is likely to ensure the following: • Building of a platform where all stakeholders are involved into decision making. • Transformation of the entire system into a highly efficient, transparent, secure and result-oriented one. • Facilitation of the technological support that is required for the process of teaching and learning. Ministry of communications and information technology, United Nations and National Informatics Centre on the occasion of UN Public Service Day (June 23)appointed Arya Institute of Engineering & Technology as the First e-gov campus of Rajasthan. The honor was given in the presence of Lise Grande, UN Resident Coordinator, India. The engineering institution has also been recognized as the nodal centre for connecting National Informatics centre’s e-gov project with engineering campuses in the respective districts. This would include working closely with the district administration, respective state governments, government of India and various e-governance agencies. The selection committee was chaired by M Moni, former director general of NIC and Sanjeev Singh of Institute of Informatics & Communication, Delhi and Prof KK Diwedi,Vice Chancellor,ASU.Students and teachers will benefit when the e-governance campus is fully operational.
