Ping is well-known for drivers, irons, putters, etc. Ping G15 one of the top drivers. I have been playing the Ping G15 Driver for about a month now, and have had some of my better driving days of my golfing ‘career’. The G15 produces 0.75-degree higher launch, 1 mph faster ball speed on center hits (six yards more carry) and 2 mph more ball speed on off-center hits. An elongated face and more rear weighting results in 15 percent higher MOI (less heel-toe twisting) and improved inertia on shots struck high or low on the face, to maintain spin and ball speed. The external rear weight pad positions the CG to promote high trajectory with reduced spin rate. The shaft of the Ping G15 has a balance point closer to the handle area, which allowed designers to leave more mass in the head without sacrificing the overall balance of the club. Its titanium head is longer front to back and features Ping's patented ultrathin crown technology. A larger face increases ball speed as well as consistency across the hitting surface. At first glance it appears to be a traditionally shaped, large head driver of 460cc. However, upon closer inspection one can make out the triangular geometry of the club head. It is not nearly as pronounced as something like the Titleist 913 D3 driver for sale, but it is definitely there. Unlike TaylorMade R1 Driver best price today, if you do not hit the ball on the sweet spot, you will not be falsely rewarded with a solid feeling impact. This is a welcome surprise in a driver in this category. I preferred the looks of the Ping G15 at first to the Ping i15 but having hit 30 balls with each I found that I couldn't work the G15 through the air as efficiently. I enjoyed the feel and the sound feedback but at the level I play I need to be able to shape the ball and I couldn't do it as well with the G15. With my swing, the ball launched quite high and seemed to have a pretty good spin rate, as the ball seemed to hang in the air forever and then roll out quite nicely. My driver was fitted with the PING TFC 149D shaft in stiff flex. It seemed to be quite stable and worked well with my particular swing. Nonetheless, you would probably want to be fitted by an authorized PING cheap golf clubs fitter to help set you up with the right shaft/head combination to optimize the driver for your game. The Ping G15 driver is an interesting piece of equipment. For those of you who are bothered by offset and draw bias in a club, you will be happy to know that the G15 sets up pretty neutral and looks quite square at address.
