She rarely steps out in public looking less than perfect and Eva Mendes didn’t disappoint on Sunday. The 39-year-old actress caught a flight out of LAX looking chic and stylish. Eva wore a dusky pink coat with a burgundy sweater and white trousers. She finished off her outfit with ankle boots and carried a large black bag as she made her way to her gate. Her long brown hair was pulled back in a no nonsense ponytail and the starlet covered her eyes with large sunglasses. There was no sign of Eva’s boyfriend, 32-year-old actor Ryan Gosling. The pair have been a hot item since falling in love on the set of riveting crime drama The Place Beyond The Pines. While Eva and Ryan have to endure long periods away from each other during filming, they temporarily solved that problem earlier this year when Gosling cast his girlfriend in his directorial debut. They spent most of the summer filming How To Catch A Monster together in Detroit, Michigan alongside Saoirse Ronan and Matt Smith. Another important male in Eva’s life is her beloved Belgian Malinois Hugo, who she is rarely seen without and will no doubt miss terribly while she is away. On Saturday the stylish star was spotted leaving an office building with the dog by her side. Mendes looked casual in a printed blouse, cropped black trousers and ankle boots as she made her way to her car. She carried a large black bag, wore sunglasses and held her hair back from her face in a chic half-up style. As well as her various acting credentials, Eva has designed a clothing collection with New York & Company, for which the idea was ‘making great quality clothes for an affordable price.’ ‘It’s not about fashion on a runway, it’s about fashion on the run!’ she recently told NBC Latino. ‘The proof is in the product, which I am so proud of.’ Eva added: ‘I basically tried to do a modern version of all my favourite pieces.’ However, she has admitted to having doubts about her ability to create fashionable pieces. 'I never thought I would be a designer, if that's what I am,' Eva told Lucky magazine. 'And at first, I wasn't sure I could do it.' Eva's mom, also named Eva, and other female members of her family convinced her she could do it. 'They were like, "Evie, you have to do this!"' said Eva, who added that her first two seasons were inspired by them. Eva's designs are intended to reach women of all shapes. 'My customer is not a fan of the way tabloids cover celebrity style: "Who wore it best." It's disastrous for women's self-esteem. With fashion, there is no right or wrong. ‘Of course, to feel beautiful, you have to have healthy self-esteem and work on yourself, and that can be hard,' Eva maintained. 'And there are days when I don't feel great, but I put on my favourite dress and throw a scarf in my hair, and it makes all the difference. 'Hopefully my line can do that for women. Even if you're not feeling your best, let's admit it, the right outfit – it helps.' popular white prom dresses online popular blue prom dresses uk online
