Steps to Set Up Microsoft Exchange E-mail on iPhone 1. On the home screen of your iPhone, go to the Settings options. 2. Now, choose the option named Mail, Contacts and Calendar from the list, 3. Here, you will need to add your account details. To add your account, press the top Add Account button on the screen. You do not have to enter anything in a Domain field. 4. A list will now be displayed including Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, MobileMe and Yahoo. You have to select the right option to set your Microsoft Exchange email account. 5. After selecting Microsoft Exchange, you would be asked to put your account ID and password. Enter the correct ID and password in the respective field. 6. The system will connect to your email account automatically. If all goes right, you have successfully synchronized your iPhone with your email. 7. In case of any connectivity problem, your phone will display the error message. 8. In some cases, you may need to enter the name of company’s hosted exchange server manually. 9. After getting the necessary documents, your iPhone would establish SSL (secure) connection to the Hosted Exchange server of Microsoft. In case of any problem, it would try to connect through a non-SSL connection. 10. Once connected successfully, you could simply select whatever you have to sync with your iPhone; Contacts, Mail and Calendars. 11. Lastly, hit the save button. Note – To get appropriate name of your exchange server, you will need to use the Exchange ActiveSync Feature. It is a system, which offers connectivity and sync in between the exchange servers and smartphones. If you want to sync with your Office 365 email account, you should use “outlook.office365.com” as an exchange server name.
