The question of the moment or the day often goes to, “ What do I have ?” And too often for too many people that thought brings them to what do I have in the bank or the stock markets. And as that number deteriorates they feel worse and worse. There is a rather astonishing scripture in Hebrews Chapter 12 verse 22 which reads as follows from the NIV version of the Bible. “ But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly.” This verse depicts an amazing reality. For the believer there can be an arrival to the presence of thousands upon thousands of angels. Beings of enormous strength and power, in the context of joyful assembly. Yet how many people will ask the Lord for and call upon the help and aid of angels, in whatever moments of and manner of need? Regardless of maybe an apparent or approaching lack of numbers in the bank, these thousands upon thousands of angels is not a number that is going to dissipate or reduce to a scant figure. The provisions contained for any one individual in the presence of these angels surely outweighs by any measure what can be found in a bank. The verse represents a coming upon for individuals in the here and now to the presence of angels in abundant joy. There is an intertwining or a gathering to the angels and not to the exclusion of angels. The glorious presence of angels should be thought upon daily and sought daily, and checked upon daily before the stocks and before the bank account and even if that goes to next to nothing, the angelic presence will not dwindle for the believer who is under the good favor of the Lord.
