If a child grows up wearing "Roll Tide" shirts and singing Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer, they may end up much more inclined to attend that school than some other place to which they have no affiliation. Plus, their parents may still have valuable connections on campus or in certain booster organizations. This is something that can really enhance a person's college experience.
