When a kitchen is acquired on rent, the tenant is not at the helm of acquiring it on lease which is for a longer period of time. The responsibility of all items then switches back to the tenant after taking possession. It is a rule of thumb to mention and include all the items that have been provided by the owner in the contract. This addition is ideally made by inserting an annexure whose reference is given in the contract. Cross reference of the annexure with the terms and conditions as laid down in the contract is mandatory. The tenancy agreement should also cover the maximum number of workers allowed in the kitchen at a time. This is for the benefit of the owner so the property remains in good condition. Some kitchen owners also do not allow overnight stays.
