Most of the time people that charter a yacht service know exactly what to bring, however there are some items that absolutely integral to your trip that you may not have considered yet. It is simple and easy to pick up a few extra items you may have just forgotten about, but you will be glad you did. The first one is tape, ideally duct tape or some packing tape. You will want some kind of strong tape that you can use for a variety of purposes. You never know when you may need to make an emergency splint or cover up a hole in your shoes or sandals. There are so many great uses for tape on a yacht, a lot of which you won’t know until you go, but you’ll be glad you have it. The next thing to remember is a flash light. The best flash lights have a hand-crank that can be used in case the batteries die, which is ideal for a yacht. Though you may never use it, it may come in handy for finding that bottle of wine late at night that you really want to drink or searching for interesting things on the beach at night. You might want it for an emergency, but more likely than not, you will use it for something fun. The most important thing to bring along with you on your yachting holiday is plenty of bottled water. Some yacht chartering services will provide this for you, but some will not. While you are surrounded by water, it’s clearly not potable water. Any yacht clearly has water reservoirs, but sometimes they are dirty or they just refilled the reservoirs at port that you’re not sure is really drinkable water. The last thing you want is to feel sick on such an amazing vacation. Also, some of the port towns you may visit might not have potable water and you will certainly want something to drink in these places as well. With just a little bit of preparation and thought, you will have a great time while yachting. The absolute imperative of a yachting holiday is to enjoy it; hopefully this will help you.
