Swing Action Tips with the Hybrid Club

Sports,Recreation & Leisure
Hybrid golf clubs also referred to as rescue clubs, have already been a godsend to many players, particularly as we grow older and lose a lot of our club head speed. In my view they are the most significant improvement in golf club design probably since metal golf club shafts, which was really a long time in the past. However they are that significant and they’ve permitted a lot of us to put away those long and even intermediate-distance irons for the hybrids, giving us a way more regular strike with the golf ball.

The opportunity of hitting consistent shots when using the rescue golf club is there for each golfer of every measure of accomplishment. But there are a few subtleties for hitting the shot right using these golf clubs. Here are a few things to take into account:

1. Ball position at address. On account of the golf club's lower center of weight you would position your ball farther back in the stance. You'll typically be able to get the ball in the air easily, and hitting the golf ball on the downward stroke offers two advantages. First, you'll find it easier to create consistent contact with your ball, as more of a ball will be in contact with the club face. Second, by hitting using a descending stroke you will be able to impart backspin, giving you better control of the ball when it hits the green.

The golf ball position for most golfers is a lot like the iron shots, but on account of the makeup of the club it will be a good deal less difficult to get your ball airborne when compared with your long irons with less golf club velocity. They're also different from fairway woods in this regard. If you position the ball back in your stance using a fairway wood you'll likely get a low punch shot. Occasionally this golf shot can be handy, but normally it isn't what you look for from your fairway wood. Because of the fairway wood's higher sweet spot it's best to sweep it off the surface at the bottom part of the swing arc.

2. Rescue club golf swing technique. Due to the club's overall flexibility you can create different ball flight angles by varying your foot position with your grip. For example, gripping lower on the golf club and narrowing your stance provides you with a steeper golf swing plane. This tends to cause the ball to take off higher with little roll, obviously what you want on your approaches to the golf green. A flatter swing using a wider stance having the ball moved into a position just a bit more forwards in the stance is best for a longer fairway shots yet still offer maximum ball control.

3. When to use the rescue club. Needless to say this club features a good deal of diversity. A few of the tour professionals are even making use of them for specific chip shots. I do know my rescue golf clubs are among the most used clubs within my bag, and when you learn the many nuances they'll bring your golf handicap down, as well.

Innovative golf equipment such as hybrid clubs will definitely help you bring down your scores. Other equipment can help you navigate the course, and knowing your distance to obstacles or your objective can make you approach your shot with a lot more confidence. Jim O'Connell is a writer and avid golfer living in Chicago.
