I am a 25 handicap golfer and X-Hot Series helped me reduce my handicap by 10! Callaway incorporated Speed Frame Face Technology from its drivers into the Callaway X Hot Irons. This is now my favourite iron and i am terribly protective of it. Rounding out the X Hot Irons is the Feel Management Technology, a dual material medallion that fine tunes sound by promoting a crisp, dynamic feel at higher ball speeds. The stock shaft offering is a True Temper Speed Step 85 Lightweight Steel Shaft. The X Hot Pro Irons have been designed for a more discerning golfer with an explosive blend of power, feel and pinpoint shot-making. This re-engineered stainless steel iron features new J-Face Dynamics, a face technology that combines precise face thickness control and undercut depth to deliver the power and feel that skilled golfers prefer. My 8 used to be my 150 yard go to club, but now a 9 will suffice. At first I owned a 6-gw, but like how the gw worked so I ordered the matching sw and lw. Will eventually get the 5 iron, no need for the 4 as I ordered an Callaway X Hot hybrid. They are super easy to see where there are pointed at address. Nice thin sole to take a divot when needed, I am typically a sweeper. I never liked using the 6 iron in previous sets as with the uniflex and me playing 1 inch over length it felt like I was swinging a noodle at the ball. I was glad to see that Callaway offered a stiff shaft in these. My accuracy with these is far superior to the other Callaway irons I have played. I was never a fan of uniflex shafts that Callaway offered in other irons. Similar to the TaylorMade RocketBladez irons best price, the X-Hot carries lower than normal degrees of loft to help you achieve remarkable distance gains, particularly with the long irons. From practice swing through to impact, everything about this iron feels great. Aided by Callaway’s Feel Management Technology, X Hot provides a crisp, dynamic feel and lovely feedback at impact. I don't like the comment about the guy saying they don't launch high, as that is not the clubs fault that is most likely a swing issue. Mine launch high, just like I want them to. The Hot X is the longest and most forgiving irons i have ever hit. i have gained at leat 15 yards on every iron. I am hitting the ball as far as i did 20 years ago. These x hot irons are awesome. If you're looking for a blade style iron, that is very forgiving, and this is your club.
