Not speaking up You kept complaining that you’re overworked, overstressed and underpaid, but only to people who can do nothing about it. That’s not an option until you actually try to solve the problem. Man up, it doesn’t help to be always running away from healthy conflicts. 3. Jumping in right away You’ve been offered a job after long months of search. Though it’s a temp job located 2hours away from home, and all you do is organize files, arrange papers, and stir coffee, you still accepted it. Better a temp job than nothing. But beware of dead ends. The easiest catch is not always the best.There’s something more frustrating than staying home and having nothing to do: losing all your time and energy for an unrewarding job. 4. Not taking a break You always come home fatigued and irritable. Everybody says you’re overworked, and you all blame the job for being too demanding. Has this been the pattern for every position you accepted in your career? Then it may not be just your job, or the boss, or the economy. Maybe you’re overworked because you’re not being generous to your body. Don’t push yourself to the limit. Others may assume that it’s okay with you.
