The new RAZR line is set to replace the "X" line just as The Diablo Line replaced the Big Bertha line of clubs. The Callaway RAZR X Irons is not the longest in the bunch, but, won hands down in the distance/accuracy department. I am now classed as a senior at 50 OMG. So I shouted myself a new set of these irons. I find them easier to hit and the distance has improved a reasonable amount. Accuracy has also improved to a degree I have joined a club and playing well with others. The graphite shafts took a little getting used to but I have only played 8-9 times so we are all still learning. To consistently hit it close and shoot lower scores, golfers need to be able to make shots from all areas of the golf course. That’s why RAZR Technology is such a breakthrough. This technology will lead the industry into the next generation of iron design by delivering the distance and forgiveness of a wide sole iron while retaining the playability and turf interaction advantages of a thin sole iron. By lowering the CG, Callaway took away the undercut of the heel and the toe areas subsequently raised the MOI (Moment of Inertia), improving ball speed on less than desirable strikes. To accomplish this great feat of combining the big 3 (distance, forgiveness, and feel), Callaway shifted 30 grams to the rear of the club, significantly lowering the Center of Gravity, making this model 12% lower and 15% deeper than the Callaway Diablo Edge Irons from the previous year! This reduces the distance lost on those toed miss hits. So in essence..it actually raises the average of an average golfer's distance off of each club by 4-7 yards. Don't get me wrong here though. If you smack one of these in the real sweet spot...and not just the safe hitting zone...you will see the real distance potential these clubs have. These golf clubs for sale are a little less forgiving than my Big Berthas but have better feel. The sole is not as wide as the Big Berthas but are easier to get the ball "up". I had some buyer's remorse but, after about 5 - 8 rounds I'm very pleased with these clubs. Source from: http://www.joomlafox.co.uk/article-359-Callaway+RAZR+X+Irons+are+new+flagship.html
