The latest in the X Series from Callaway Golf is the X-24 Hot set of irons. The design of discount Callaway X-24 Hot irons is intended to enlarge the effective hitting area on the clubface, improving distance and maintaining accuracy. I love the look of the X-24s, and the Orange matches the Orange chevron on the ball I play most often. But I have been confused by a few decisions that Callaway has made so far with the X-24. For the first time in at least the last 9 years or more, there is only one standard flex in the graphite shafts. You can custom build for no extra cost multiple types and flexes of shafts in a set, but off the rack there is no “Senior, Regular, Stiff” choice to be made. It may be that the X-24 line will be expanded later as the Callaway X-22 Irons for sale sell out. It could be that since the X-22s are getting a little long in the tooth, that Callaway needed to put out a new series and it is just a limited run because of slower sales from the economy. The shorter irons were very impressive and the wedges were particularly good fun to hit. Moving through the set I became less enamoured although this was partly because I'm not very comfortable with the graphite shaft rather than a problem with the clubs themselves. The dark PVD finish looks excellent and we were pleased to see that it maintained its appearance even after a heavy session on the range, so it should last for a while. The orange styling of the Callaway X-24 Hot iron may not be to everyone's taste but we like the fact that the iron number is just on the sole and no longer on the face of the club so that your opponent does not know what club you have hit. I hope it doesn’t point to some demise in the X-line. That series has been extremely successful for the past ten years, in particular the discount golf clubs are still all over the place, and in my group there are a bunch of X-20 players. If you are really interested in this x-24 irons, add it to you golf list. Source from: http://www.golfequipmentsale.co.uk/article-702.html
