These templates are a great tool for companies to come up with their own policy. Just remember that these templates are general outlines only. They contain basic frameworks and items of information, mostly on the minimum required aspects that the law is mandated to cover. Specific operating circumstances, job requirements, and other details need to be filled in by the respective company utilizing the template. Remember that a template is only a guide for companies to develop their own document. This final document should be relevant to their specific level of operations and to the situation of their own employees. A template should not be relied upon word for word. Alternatively, there are consultancy firms who may be able to offer more customized health and safety documents based on existing templates.
