Callaway has incorporated Speed Frame Face Technology from its drivers into the Callaway X Hot Irons to optimise stiffness across the face for more ball speed and consistent distance on off-centre hits. The thin face profile has the look of a player iron with the performance you’d expect from game improvement. The crown finish looks smart and although there’s not too much offset on show, there’s enough to help square the face up at impact. From practice swing through to impact, everything about this iron feels great. Aided by Callaway’s Feel Management Technology, X Hot provides a crisp, dynamic feel and lovely feedback at impact. “The X Hot irons have been meticulously engineered – both in terms of physical characteristics and club configuration – to increase ball speed and promote overall distance optimisation,” says Callaway's senior vice president of research & development Dr. Alan Hocknell. And in doing so I think we have raised the bar and created the standard in distance for the irons category. Golfers will very much enjoy the results.” Rounding out the X Hot irons is the Feel Management Technology, a dual material medallion that fine tunes sound by promoting a crisp, dynamic feel at higher ball speeds. The stock shaft offering is a True Temper Speed Step 85 lightweight steel shaft. Hot items: Titleist AP1 714 Irons Ping I20 Irons
