When you’re looking for barn wedding venues, Suffolk should definitely be on your list. There’s lots of reasons somewhere like the East Anglia coast will work for your wedding, but with so many other things to be thinking about it can be difficult to know just what you should be looking for. Why Suffolk Barn weddings have grown increasingly popular in recent years, which means that barn wedding venues in Suffolk aren’t your only option. In lots of towns and rural locations up and down the country you will find highly glamorous, purpose built or barn conversions which are being hired out constantly throughout the year. Barn wedding venues in Suffolk aren’t your only option, but location is one of the most important things to think about. What exactly does the Suffolk countryside have to offer? Well, Suffolk is a beautiful county. Untarnished by big cities (the county town is Ipswich, which has a very modest population), there is plenty of greenery to enjoy and to make your photos look lovely. When the light is setting over the hills and the fading light pours softly through the tree tops, it’s a truly magical place to be. Not only are there aesthetic reasons for picking this charming little county for your barn wedding venues, Suffolk is also within spitting distance of London. It takes just over an hour on the train from central London into the heart of the countryside, and less than 40 minutes from neighbouring Norwich. The road connections are strong, and if you’re coming from further afield you can fly into Stansted and reach the countryside with ease. Suffolk has lots to do in the days leading up to the wedding as well, so why not make a week of it, get the family up early and visit the coastline. We can’t see any reasons why you wouldn’t want to! Accommodation While some venues will have on site accommodation, this might not be sufficient to host your whole party. As with any popular destination though, you will find that there’s a plethora of hotels, B&BS and self-catering accommodation which is available in the vicinity. Before you book anything speak to the venue. They might have affiliation with local accommodation and you might be able to save a bit by booking en masse. If you’re looking at weddings in barns, or even considering the great outdoors to celebrate your big day and the start of your new lives, then we would recommend looking into Suffolk!
