PeopleSoft is a very popular HR program that allows individuals to go into employee records and keep track of the hiring process - as well as various other details. It can even be linked to payroll in order to make it easier to pay employees and keep track of how many hours they work from week to week. If you suddenly have a vacancy in your HR or payroll department, you may want to find someone who is already experienced with this program. It can be extremely time-consuming to hire someone. You have to comb through the resumes, conduct interviews, and possibly even conduct a final interview. This could take weeks. If you have to add in the time to train a person on PeopleSoft as well, it may take you a month or longer in order to truly fill the position. By that time, all of your other employees could be at their wits end because of having to do so much additional work. The easiest solution is to find someone who is knowledgeable about PeopleSoft. This will allow them to get into the positions faster. All you have to do is teach them about what your company is all about and some of the basic intricacies that make your company different than all of the rest. Once you do this, a person will be able to begin working within the HR or payroll department immediately - reducing the stress of all of your other employees. If you were to try and hire on your own, the process could still take a few weeks. This is because you don't have the time to comb through all of the resumes as your full-time job. You may only be able to comb through 15 or 20 resumes a day. If you consider the fact that the average open position gets 100 resumes or more, you simply don't have the time to dedicate to the process. There are recruiting agencies that specialize in HR and payroll. This means that you can find a recruiter that will find you an individual who is already experience with PeopleSoft. They will come through all of the resumes for you and they will even conduct all of the preliminary interviews. If you ask them to, they will even contact previous employers to find out if the person really has experience with PeopleSoft or if they added it to the resume just to make them look better. This is going to save you a tremendous amount of time. Because recruiters are already working within the HR and payroll industry, they likely have a lot of individuals who are prequalified for certain positions. This means that if you contact a recruiter on Monday, you may have a person ready to start within your company by Friday. The moment you hire a person as a result of a recruiter, you fill your position and you don't have to worry about training anyone on PeopleSoft because the recruiter has ensured that they are already familiar with it.
